All domestic graduate students taking three or more credit hours or registered for thesis or dissertation are eligible to enroll in Indiana University's voluntary student health insurance plan. Eligible students who do enroll may also insure their dependents, including spouse/domestic partner (residing with the insured student) and unmarried children under 19 years of age. Participation in the student health insurance plan is mandatory for student academic appointees, fellowship recipients and international students, unless proof of comparable coverage is presented and a waiser is filed by the waiver deadline. Learn more about the mandatory health plan.
