The School of Science offers excellent preparation for students who are interested in a career in health care. A student who graduates with a degree in biology, chemistry, physics or psychology has acquired the essential skills and the courses needed for entrance into the health professions. Pre-Medicine

Students planning to apply to medical school must choose a degree program in addition to taking courses that fulfill the admission requirements for their chosen medical school.

Pre-Dentistry

Exceptional students may be considered for admission after three years of college (90 college credits).

Pre-Veterinary Medicine

An organized four-semester curriculum allows students to meet the requirements for admission to the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Pre-Pharmacy

The pre-pharmacy program comprises two-and-one-half to three years of study at IUPUI during which time students may apply to the Pharm.D. program at Purdue University.

Pre-Optometry

The program is designed for transfer to the professional program at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.

Pre-Physical Therapy and Pre-Occupational Therapy

Students make take any undergraduate program and include a set of core courses needed as prerequisites for a graduate degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy at the IU School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
