1994 Computer Science Graduate Named President
He’s thoughtful and strategic when making decisions. He’s reliable and a lot of fun, but most importantly, he has the school’s best interests at heart. That’s why Jim Hutchins has been elected president of the School of Science Alumni Association Board of Directors.
A 1994 computer science graduate and general manager at Open Solutions RDS Technologies in Indianapolis, Hutchins is a founding member of the alumni board since 1999 and has served previously as treasurer and vice president. Hutchins succeeds Lorraine Wright (1991 B.A. geology), who will continue with the board’s executive committee as immediate-past-president.
Joining Hutchins and Wright on the executive committee are: Carl Sobieralski (1996 M.S. biology), vice president; Roberta Flower (1977 M.S. computer science), secretary and Terra Query (2004 B.S. chemistry), treasurer
Previous past presidents of the alumni association are Eric Tinsley (1982 B.S., 1986 M.S. computer science) and Bill Kuntz (1984 B.A., 1986 M.S. chemistry).
